Thank you to our sponsors
I grew up on Allen-Benedict Court in Columbia, South Carolina where my parents instilled in me and my siblings that it was proper to say thank you when someone is nice or accommodating to us.
So, with that in mind, I want to take this opportunity to say thank you to our sponsors during our 10th anniversary addressing the health disparities for African Americans and the underserved on radio.
There are some organizations that deserve mentioning because we would not have been as successful without their support. Our first, real partner was Cumulus Broadcasting of Charleston, formerly known as Citadel Broadcasting, who introduced the idea that radio was a means to educate the African American community about health issues. MUSC, Select Health of South Carolina, and Roper St. Francis also helped to make our organization a reality.
My heartfelt thanks goes out to this community and my two daughters, Tonisha and Tiffany, who both developed a great passion for CTGIHC.
