Physicians Need to be Appreciated

by Education

I often wonder why people do not show appreciation for their physician as they do for their pastor.  Our work is similar when you think about it.

A physician who goes beyond what he or she is taught in medical school is difficult to find nowadays.

I recently received a very nice note from the daughter of one of my patients who recently passed away.  She acknowledged the special care provided for him and how proud he was to tell others that I was his physician.

A male patient sent flowers just to say thank you for the care shown to him by my office staff.

Show your physician some love with a kind word or a nice card, and sending flowers would be kind gesture if you have a great physician.

Your opinion matters.
