VIDEO: Addressing Alcohol Abuse WITH COVID

I’ve noticed that alcohol sales have gone up in South Carolina because of the Coronavirus. This means more people are drinking too much, leading to health problems. This is a big issue in the African American community, where people might drink to forget their problems.

We’re seeing more cases of:

  • Gouty arthritis
  • Alcoholic gastritis
  • Depression and anxiety
  • Long-term cancers caused by drinking

I encourage you to talk to your family members if you think they might be drinking too much. Let’s help each other stay healthy.
