Brother, Brother, Brother, There’s Far Too Many of You Dying

by | Health Tips

You may remember the hit, “What’s Going On,” by Marvin Gaye and the lyrics, brother, brother, brother, there’s far too many of you dying, if you are old school. The song, in many ways, portrays what is happening to us today. We are dying too soon. Our young black men are dying from acts perpetrated by other brothers and from their own actions. There is too much crime in our communities. Love seems to have lost its way. Life seems to have no value. Help us, Lord. Help us.

Men of my generation are dated regarding taking responsibility for their health. We have signs and symptoms of illnesses, but would rather die early and leave our families and loved ones behind asking why he did not take better care of himself. Information is readily available, but we do not change.

Brother, brother, brother, there’s far too many of you dying.

Your opinion matters.
