It Is Imperative for Diabetics to See a Dietician

by | Diabetes, For Men, For Women, Health Tips

Diabetes continues to greatly affect the African American community and it is not disappearing.  You are a candidate for a diabetic workup if you are overweight, have a family history, and are sedentary.  Diabetes, controlled early, can result in fewer complications later in life and not being informed is being in denial.

You are harming yourself if you are diabetic and have not conferred with a diabetic educator. Ask your primary physician about seeing an educator. Doctors do not have the time and the expertise to provide the necessary information regarding the appropriate diabetic diet.   Your insurance, in most cases, will cover the cost.

Your opinion matters.
